Course Overview
This class is designed for the absolute beginner. If you are looking for an introduction to the violin, how to care for the instrument and the fundamentals of playing, then this class is for you. No prior knowledge of the violin is needed.
What You’ll Need
- Violin
- If you have a music stand, please bring it
- Pencil and folder for sheet music that will be provided by Elizabeth
Course Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will:
- Know how to care for and prepare to play your violin
- You will know what the difference is between a violin and a fiddle 😉
- You will know how to hold the instrument to get the best sound possible
- You will learn some basics of reading music for the violin
- You will have learned a few tunes
